Located in EastEnd A quarter, this sugar windmill shares the same characteristic as Castle Coakley and Diamond Keturah in that mill sits on a base with storage tunnels as in the design of Hammer Farms, St John c.1820..
The tunnels are probably for storage of the mill’s sails in the event of a hurricane. Shown below ia the main tunnel and a side tunnel.
